A few summers ago, I learned a valuable lesson. I wasn't really paying attention to the water quality on my farm, and my water source was contaminated with a dangerous bacterial pathogen. That year, I lost my entire crop. The experience was as crippling financially as it was emotionally. I realized that in order to protect my community and my own personal livelihood, I needed to focus on water quality.
